A heavily pregnant woman who disappeared from Auckland Hospital last week has been spotted sleeping in the Auckland Central City Library but police say they still want to get her back to hospital so she can resume her treatment.
Korina Jade Bray-Taylor, 31, was having treatment for a medical condition and was last seen at the hospital with her partner on Monday last week.
Police said her partner, who had no fixed address, would not face charges over her disappearance.
"She was allegedly seen in the library sleeping," said Constable Andrew Osborne.
She was also seen at the City Mission and may have been getting some food.
However, Mr Osborne said she had been admitted to the hospital and was getting treatment for a condition unrelated to her pregnancy and needed to resume treatment.
He said police were concerned about her welfare and keen to get her back to the hospital.
Ms Bray-Taylor, 32 weeks pregnant, was Caucasian, 165cm tall with curly blonde hair.
She wore a grey hooded top with three-quarter length grey trousers, white sports shoes, and carried a handbag.
Mr Osborne said she may be living rough and urged anyone who knew where she was to call police.
