Three people who headed a list of New Zealanders unaccounted for in New York have been found.
The three were causing officials concern as they were believed to be in the vicinity of the World Trade Center when two aircraft crashed in to it.
A Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokeswoman said 140 New Zealanders were still unaccounted for, but it was not believed any were in a high-risk category.
More than 900 New Zealanders have been contacted and confirmed as being safe.
