A woman and her daughter who were reported missing last night have been found safe and well and had simply changed their travel plans, police say.
The woman and her 11-year-old daughter, on holiday from Australia, were reported missing after they failed to arrive at a relative's address in Whatawhata, near Hamilton.
The pair had driven from Tauranga and were expected in Whatawhata late yesterday.
The alarm was raised when they did not arrive.
It appeared the woman had changed her plans and decided not go to her relative's house, police said today.
She and her daughter arrived at Auckland Airport at midday today to catch their return flight to Australia.
