A wallet and a pair of shoes and socks believed to belong to a missing Christchurch man have been found on a West Coast beach.
Kurt Green, 30, who has a diminished mental capacity, was reported missing at the weekend. He was last seen in the Sydenham area in Christchurch on March 8. However, today police stated that Mr Green had travelled to Greymouth that day.
According to Greymouth police Detective Sergeant Gavin Nichols, Mr Green travelled to Greymouth with friends on Saturday March 8 and stayed the night with friends in Blaketown.
"He was last seen walking away from the address towards the Blaketown tiphead.''
Mr Nichols said that last Tuesday, during a beach clean-up some of Mr Green's personal property, including his wallet and shoes and socks were found.
