Missing man not missing after all

More than 30 police and volunteers spent several hours searching for a man who was not missing yesterday.

The search started at 10.30am after a Palmerston man who crashed his car northeast of Dunedin said his male passenger was missing.

Police said it appeared the man had not been in the crashed car after all.
