Police are appealing for sightings of a woman who was last seen hitchhiking in Christchurch yesterday afternoon.
The woman, aged about 25-years-old, was believed to have been at the intersection of Blenheim and Annex roads in Middleton about 4pm.
Police say she may also have been in the Springston area later in the day and is believed to have been heading to Akaroa.
She is described as Caucasian, with shoulder-length brown hair. She was wearing jeans and a beanie and carry an orange and blue backback.
Anyone who may have seen the hitchhiker, who police have not named, is asked to contact Detective Phil McDonnell at Christchurch Police.
