A Hamilton man who followed his missing wife to Sydney out of concern for her health has found her safe and well.
Karen Tuhoro, also known as Karen Vlaardingerbroek, disappeared 10 days ago but was found by Australian police in Sydney's Kings Cross about 2pm yesterday.
Her husband Tony Tuhoro raised the alarm after his 42-year-old wife uncharacteristically left their Hamilton home on September 13.
Mrs Tuhoro suffers from a mental disability and there was some concern she may have needed urgent medical attention.
However, Mr Tuhoro said today his wife was safe and seemed to be in control.
"She's been found and everything is wonderful," he said.
Australian police had decided Mrs Tuhoro was in control of her own faculties, he said.
