Missing girl found safe

Christchurch police have found an 8-year-old girl who had been missing for five hours.

The girl was last seen in the suburb of Shirley at 1pm, police said.

Police found her just after 6pm on Quinns Road.

It was not known where she had been for the hours she was missing, a southern communications police spokesman said.
