Police have spoken to a German tourist reported missing yesterday and say she is safe and well and had been staying with friends.
Natalia Guetler, 24, disappeared from the Oaklands Lodge in Mt Eden where she stayed last weekend. She was last seen by a room-mate at 5pm on Monday, just before she left to get cash from a money machine to pay for her accommodation.
Ms Guetler told the lodge manager that she intended to stay longer than the two nights she had already spent there.
The manager, who refused to comment when contacted by the Herald, re-ported her missing yesterday at 11.30am.
Police met Ms Guetler this afternoon after earlier receiving calls from a reliable source saying Ms Guetler was safe.
