A fisherman who disappeared in an estuary north of Auckland while wearing a heavy leather jacket has been named by police.
Search teams are still looking for Maxium Efremychev, 25, who has not been seen since he fell from a small inflatable boat at Ti Point near Omaha about 11am on Saturday.
Police said the search resumed this morning with members of the police national dive squad entering the water for a second day, accompanied by the police launch Deodar.
Specialist sonar equipment from the navy was also being used in the search.
Aerial searches by the police Eagle helicopter and a Coastguard fixed wing aircraft were also been carried out, along with extensive searches of the shoreline.
