Missing elderly woman found dead on beach

An elderly Auckland woman reported missing from her home yesterday has been found dead on the beach at Ladies Bay.

Pamela Margaret Hooper, 75, disappeared from her Remuera Road home about 2.15pm yesterday.

Police searched until early this morning as fears for her safety grew. They say her body was found this afternoon.


The death did not appear to be suspicious.
