Police have named the diver missing off Motunau Island after a dive at 7.30am yesterday as Stephen John Sintes.
A land, sea and air search involving the Westpac rescue helicopter, the Kaikoura Air Patrol and several local boats together with the coastguard vessel Canterbury Draft Rescue was continuing.
