For more than five years, the day has been a reminder of the baby she couldn't have - but today is different. Ting-Ting is spending her first Mother's Day with her "miracle baby", Haylee, in her arms.
Ting-Ting and husband Jeff Foster had been trying for a baby since their wedding eight years ago. After five years with no success, the Auckland couple sought medical help and were told they couldn't have children naturally.
Fertility Associates advised them their only hope was in-vitro fertilisation. "Our first round of IVF failed and it made me very sick for a long time," Ting-Ting said.
"I had constant headaches and felt like I had a cold the whole time. It was hard, and then we found out it had failed.
"The second time we had success and now we have Haylee. She is our miracle baby," Ting-Ting said.
