Police have named the woman killed when a minibus carrying 11 intellectually disabled children rolled down a bank yesterday as Joy Amanda Keefe.
Ms Keefe, 36, a caregiver from Napier, died at the scene of the accident on a rural road near Patoka.
Ten other people were flown to Hastings Hospital by the Square Trust rescue helicopter with minor injuries.
Police believed no other vehicles were involved.
A spokesman for the Square Trust said the group was returning yesterday afternoon from a day trip when the accident occurred.
