Passengers pulled a woman out of her wrecked Mini Cooper car after it collided with their bus in Parnell.
A Herald reader was on the 757 bus and said an elderly woman driver had performed a u-turn in front of the bus on Tamaki Drive at about 8.50am.
"The bus tried to swerve to the right to avoid her and ended up hitting her side-on. Her air bags inflated.
"The bus driver opened the side door and some passengers got straight out, checked if the woman was okay and helped her out of her car.
"She was not hurt, but was a bit shaken up."
