A man was seriously injured when he was crushed by machinery in a Rotorua timber mill this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Waipa Mill on Waipa State Mill Road, south of Rotorua, at about 8am, Inspector Ben Offner of the police northern communications centre said.
The man was taken to Rotorua Hospital in a serious condition.
The Department of Labour is investigating.
