Spilled milk causing problems for motorists on a stretch of highway in eastern Waikato has been cleared.
The milk had leaked from a tanker which crashed into a ditch on State Highway 27, north of Morrinsville around 9am.
Police said the road had been closed off at the corner of State Highway 27 and Whakahoro Road to the north and State Highway 27 and Manhire Road to the south.
It was not yet known what caused the accident, however police were investigating.
The driver of the tanker, which had a trailer unit attached, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and uninjured.
