KEY POINTS:
Comedian Mike King has been diagnosed with heart problems, possibly as a complication of a stroke he had in January.
King, 45, was taken to hospital with low blood pressure and dizziness on Monday and was having a raft of tests, said his manager, David Steele.
"There is something with the heart. There is an irregularity there and they are working on more tests just to see what it is," he said.
King has had scans and there were no signs of internal bleeding.
"He has low blood pressure and is definitely not right so we are hoping in the next couple of days the tests will discover what is needed," Steele said.
The next steps for King - including heart surgery - are unknown.
"It is completely up in the air. We are waiting for the specialists to finish their tests," Steele said.
"He is in good spirits and we had a lot of jokes yesterday but he is very tired. Physically he is not 100 per cent but his demeanour is very good."
He said King came through his stroke very well and did not have any paralysis or mobility issues.
