Fifty people plunged into the ocean at Windsor Reserve yesterday for the Devonport Youth Forum's annual midwinter swim. Participants aged from five to 67 braved the cold for the event's 14th year.
Co-organiser Maire Vieth said "the whole spirit of the day was to brave the elements and for that the weather conditions were perfect".
Prizes were awarded for best costume and the oldest and youngest participants. Beach aerobics was organised before the dip and soup from Clarry's Catering was offered afterwards.
