A midwife criticised by Health and Disability Commissioner Ron Paterson over the delivery of a baby in 2005 has quit practising.
Responding to a provisional finding, the unnamed midwife told the commissioner she had completed further training and apologised to the parents of the baby who was born brain-damaged. But she also said she was not now working because of poor health.
