Supporters of Mark Middleton say the Government has ignored the wishes of the New Zealand public.
Mark Middleton was found guilty on Friday of threatening to kill Paul Dally, the man responsible for the brutal murder of his step-daughter Karla Cardno.
Leader of Victims of Invasive Crime Group, Greg Stenbeck said the Government had ignored the results of the last referendum showing the public want tougher prison sentences.
He said the strong support for Mark Middleton shows the public have had enough of weak attitudes towards tough crimes.
Mr Stenbeck said his group will be meeting this week to discuss their next form of action against the Government and what they can do for Middleton.
