Outspoken radio host Michael Laws' leave from his show has extended to a second week after controversial comments he made on air.
Laws has not been heard on his regular RadioLive spot since he discussed shooting journalists, a comment he later said was a joke.
He said on his Twitter feed he would not be returning to work for the rest of this week: "Another week's leave from radio responsibilities ... could SO get used to this."
MediaWorks spokeswoman Rachel Lorimer said Laws was on leave while the broadcaster held discussions about his show.
She could not say when, or if, he would return and attributed his absence to an employment matter.
