KEY POINTS:
A lawyer has pleaded not guilty on behalf of radio host Michael Laws to contempt of court charges.
Police laid charges against Radio Live hosts James Coleman and Laws as well as CanWest, the owners of Radio Live.
The lawyer appeared in Wanganui District Court on Tuesday.
Coleman and Laws are alleged to have breached contempt orders last December relating to the trial of former Christian Heritage leader and police prosecutor Graham Capill.
Both Laws and Radio Live have indicated they will be vigorously defending the case.
Last July Radio Live's operator, Radioworks, was fined $750 for breaching suppression orders surrounding the Louise Nicholas rape case.
