The Men's Shed at Henley Lake in Colombo Rd, Masterton, is shaping up to be a hive of activity tomorrow evening, but not just for men.
Families are being urged to go along from 6pm to 8pm when the Wairarapa Multi Sports Club is holding its annual registration evening at the shed.
Anyone interested in outdoor pursuits can ask questions, get advice and hopefully sign on for the upcoming season.
Publicity officer and children's tri-events organiser Judy Brown sees an exciting season unfolding.
"All events will be advertised and we'll include a slideshow of previous year's events," she said. "We're looking to attract college students and adults in particular but we're open to all ages."
Some of the events to be outlined tomorrow include biathlons, comprising a 5km run and 20km bike ride for teams or individuals, a Tour of Wairarapa cycle ride on November 14 over 10km for primary and intermediate children and 50km or 100km for adults, and a kayak series on Henley Lake on October 8.
The popular children tri-series at Lakeview School will feature again next February.
Anyone keen but unable to attend and register should check the club's website WMSC@org.nz
