A service station has been robbed at knife-point in Lower Hutt last night.
Two men entered the Caltex service station on Railway Ave just before 9.30pm and threatened the sole store attendant with a large knife.
They took an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, before making off from the scene across Railway Ave and down Aglionby St, where they were then spotted getting into a dark coloured sedan, Senior Sergeant Marc Clausen, of central police communications, said.
The vehicle was last seen driving down to the end of the street before turning left onto Bridge St.
The men are described as both wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, with one wearing a red coloured bandana across his face.
