Two men are being treated in hospital after falling from a roof that was caving in at a timber yard south-east of Auckland.
Emergency services, including two fire appliances from Mercer and Tuakau, responded to a call at Ahead Lumber Ltd near Mangatawhiri after the pair fell from the roof at about 9am.
They were taken to Middlemore Hospital with moderate injuries and were in a "satisfactory'' condition, said a hospital spokeswoman.
An Ahead manager said the incident was under investigation by the company and the Department of Labour.
He said he could not comment further.
