Two men charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a man who fell from the balcony of an Auckland apartment last month have been remanded to reappear next month.
Barry Harwood, 64, and Michael Manga, 37, appeared in Auckland District Court charged in connection with the death of Stewart Paul Kingi, 57, on March 10.
Manga entered a not guilty plea, and Harwood did not enter a plea. They were both remanded on bail to reappear on May 27.
Mr Kingi died from blunt force head trauma after he fell from a balcony in Pt England, 14km southeast of downtown Auckland.
Harwood and Manga were initially charged with assault, but these charges were later upgraded to manslaughter.
