Two men have come forward in relation to a New Year's Day fight in Castlepoint which left a man with severe facial injuries.
The incident occurred at a temporary campsite at the rear of the Whakataki Hotel in the early hours of New Year's Day.
This resulted in one man, 20, being taken to Wairarapa Hospital with broken bones in his face.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Miller said a Masterton man and a man from Wellington, both in their 20s, had since made themselves known to police.
Police were still tracking down witnesses as part of the on-going investigation, Mr Miller said.
