Four men who allegedly beat a teenager unconscious outside an Auckland nightclub earlier this month have had their names suppressed until Monday.
The quartet faced charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, wounding with intent to injure, and assault when they appeared in Auckland District Court this morning.
The four, aged, 18, 19, 22 and 23 were given name suppression after JP Barry Evans was told they had yet to tell their families.
They were bailed until Monday.
Police said that the 18-year-old victim suffered serious injuries when he tried to break up a fight outside a Wyndham St nightclub on May 5.
