Police have arrested two men alleged to have fled a burglary in a stolen car which was involved in a crash in Waitakere this morning.
Police said the silver RAV-4 crashed into a Ford Courier Utility at the corner of Forest Hill and Kellys roads about 9.53am.
A spokesman said one of the occupants in the RAV-4 had moderate injuries and the sole male occupant in the second vehicle has some minor rib and leg injuries.
He said the two men in the stolen car had allegedly been disturbed by the occupants of a house in South Titirangi Road about 10 minutes before the crash.
Both were "assisting Waitakere CIB with their enquiries". The RAV-4 was allegedly stolen from Auckland City on August 17.
Diversions were put in place after the crash but the road has since reopened.
