A shop assistant had his hand cut with a machete during an aggravated dairy robbery in Gore tonight, police say.
Three young males entered the Coutts Road dairy around 7.30pm, wearing balaclavas and dark backpacks. One was carrying a machete, police said.
Following a brief struggle with the shop attendant the trio ran down Lock Street and onto Irving Street, according to a police statement.
Police are supporting the victim, who cut his hand during the struggle.
One of the offenders was wearing a light green hoodie and the other two were wearing dark coloured hoodies.
