A Kiwi mother-of-two who died in a London bicycle crash moments after taking a smiling selfie will be remembered at events in Auckland later this month.
Carmen Greenway, 41, took the picture of herself riding a bicycle as she rode home after a night at a pub celebrating a family event.
But moments later, just 100 yards from her west London home, Mrs Greenway was flung from the saddle and cracked her skull as her mother, Sherry Bennett, watched on in horror.
She was rushed to hospital in Paddington, central London, but died six days later from cardiac arrest, leaving the family devastated.
In a death notice published in today's Weekend Herald (Subs- Saturday), people are invited to celebrate Greenway's life at events in Auckland on Saturday, October 29.
