New Zealand man Alex Manuel has been remanded after appearing in a Melbourne court charged with murder.
It's alleged the 27-year-old verbally argued with Ricky Thompson in the car park of a pub before fatally stabbing him last month.
The Age reports Manuel appeared at Melbourne Magistrates Court today and was remanded to appear again in November.
Manuel had been the subject of a police manhunt since the incident last month.
Victoria Police confirmed Homicide Squad detectives, with assistance of the Special Operations Group, had arrested a man in relation to the fatal stabbing in Chelsea Heights.
