The earth moved for veteran NewstalkZB journalist Barry Soper and his young bride, One News reporter Heather Du Plessis-Allan - before the honeymoon had even begun.
An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale briefly interrupted proceedings, just after 6pm, at the pair's wedding in Wellington yesterday.
Soper, 57, and Du Plessis-Allan, 24, followed in the footsteps of Speaker Lockwood Smith and wed in the historic Grand Hall at Parliament.
The wedding was attended by many of Soper and Du Plessis-Allan's media friends.
