KEY POINTS:
Two men suspected of being involved in the theft of precious war medals from the Waiouru Army Museum appeared in court in unrelated charges today.
A depositions hearing was due to have begun for the two men and a woman on a raft of joint charges, including being part of an organised criminal group, fraud and burglary.
However, the hearing in Auckland District Court was adjourned today and all three were remanded to reappear again for depositions in October.
One was remanded in custody and the other two were released on bail.
The two men cannot be named because of their alleged connection with the break in at Waiouru.
One man is 37 and unemployed, and the other is a 38-year-old information technology consultant.
The unemployed 35-year-old woman was granted interim name suppression.
Nearly 100 war medals, including nine Victoria Cross medals won by New Zealanders in various conflicts, were stolen from Waiouru in December but later returned in a deal brokered by Auckland lawyer Chris Comeskey.
Mr Comeskey's associate appeared for one of the men today.
