Melbourne, Australia
On the eve of our farewell match against the Socceroos there is a real feeling of excitement within the camp.
The past three days in Auckland have been just fantastic! The team was in high demand from the media and supporters, a real pleasure to meet so many passionate fans. The final signing session at Sky City was extended by over an hour due to the huge turnout. It has to be one of the best feelings as a footballer to put a smile on a kid's face.
The Aussie match is our first chance to get back on the park together and begin working on our game ahead of the World Cup. A match versus our local rivals is the next best thing to playing at home in New Zealand.
There is no such thing as a friendly in football and I'm sure it'll be an entertaining encounter. It's one which, as a player, I hope could turn into a regular event. The match at the MCG is a great opportunity for both sets of supporters to send off their teams in style.
I'm really excited with the chance to give All Whites' supporters a glimpse inside the camp and to update them on the day-to-day lives of their football heroes.
