McDonald's is warning people not to be sucked in by an email scam offering people Honda CR-Vs or $100 petrol cards as part of a "customer satisfaction survey".
The email asks a number of questions about McDonald's products and service and then goes on to ask participants for their credit card details, the company said today.
The source of the email was unknown, but the sender details most commonly appear as "McDonald's Online".
People were advised to delete the email and the hoax had been reported to the appropriate authorities.
