The McDonald's restaurant chain is warning customers about an email scam offering a $50 voucher in exchange for participating in a survey.
The company received inquiries from recipients of the email, which asked for personal information, including credit card and address details.
It was the seventh time the scam had been released over the last year, and its source was unknown, a McDonald's spokeswoman said.
The company had reported the scam to authorities and advised anyone who received the email to disregard or delete it.
The company last year said some customers had fallen for the scam and submitted their credit card details - despite the emails' authors spelling New Zealand incorrectly.
