Foreign Minister Murray McCully will lead a delegation of MPs, business people and representatives from non-government organisations to the Solomon Islands, Kiribati and Samoa next week.
It is Mr McCully's 2010 Pacific Mission and he said today it would provide opportunities for a range of New Zealand representatives to look at the development challenges the countries faced and how assistance could best be focused.
"The Government has made New Zealand's relationships with its close neighbours in the Pacific a key priority," Mr McCully said.
He will meet government leaders and the delegation will have a special interest in how Samoa is recovering from last year's tsunami.
