KEY POINTS:
There was high drama on Mount Panorama at the Bathurst 1000 this morning, with one car retired on the warm up lap.
Cameron McConville's SuperCheap Holden blew up before the race even began, forcing the Australian out of the race.
Amazingly, the great race was allowed to start with McConville's car still parked in a dangerous position on turn two.
However, with three quarters of the first lap completed, common sense finally prevailed and a restart was forced while the car was cleared.
