Auckland Mayor Len Brown says his trade delegation to China has enjoyed a warm reception from government and businesses. The delegation, made up of representatives from Auckland businesses, ward councillor Richard Northey and Mr Brown, are more than half way through their trade mission to China.
"We've had a stunning reception, with real warmth and hospitality. There is a clear desire to form relationships with Auckland and a genuine commitment to building business connections," Mr Brown said.
Auckland business delegates were looking to secure a number of contracts with Chinese businesses in the following months.
Mr Brown said he was impressed with the Chinese film and creative sector.
"There is potential for the Auckland creative sector to enter into joint venture."
