A Masterton teenage girl has appeared in court charged with burglary and remanded to an address outside of the region. Shayde Weston, 17, appeared before Judge John Bergseng in Masterton District Court on Tuesday entering no plea to a charge of burglary.
She along with three other people are charged in relation to a burglary on West Bush Rd on Monday February 17. Police originally opposed bail for the teenager but prosecutor Sergeant Jodie Lawrence withdrew opposition when a suitable address out of Masterton was put to the court.
Judge Bergseng remanded Weston on strict conditions including her not returning to Masterton until her next appearance on March 3, when she is due to plead to the charge. Her co-accused are yet to appear in court.
