A 17-year-old Masterton man has been charged with arson after a woolshed was set on fire early yesterday.
Masterton police sergeant Simon Irving said police were completing a scene examination and investigations were continuing.
Mr Irving said the man would appear in Masterton District Court on Thursday.
A member of the public raised the alarm after spotting a fire on a woolshed door in the South Rd extension, Masterton, just after 1am.
Masterton Fire Service station officer Garry Nielsen said the blaze could have been much worse.
