King Street Live will stage a free show at the Masterton venue tonight as a tribute to peace and musical memorial to victims of terrorist attacks in Paris and around the world.
Manager Jason Ireland said Masterton ska band Back the Truck Up and UCOL Wairarapa music student Hemi Walker will perform at the venue free of charge with the venue also donating the lighting and sound equipment for the show.
"We're wanting to do a peace gig. A lot of terrible things happened last week, especially at another music venue, in France.
"That really hit home for us here at King Street. There were a lot of young people out trying to enjoy themselves and they get killed.
"We want to remind people that music venues are happy places and you should be able to go out and enjoy yourselves. So we're going to put on some happy music with a happy bunch of guys, for anyone to come down and enjoy."
