They are up.
The Pou at the two main entrances to Masterton were erected yesterday with the help of a 30 tonne crane and a crew from Loaders Construction Engineering Ltd.
Featuring designs crafted in deliberately rusted metal the Pou symbols represent what the Masterton district has to offer and are to be illuminated by up-lighting for night viewing.
Masterton District Council's communications committee chair Pip Hannon said the Pou had come about as a result of widespread consultations and she hoped Masterton people liked the end result.
