A Masterton man has been found not guilty of unlawful sexual connection and indecent assault of a young boy.
Jack Rapana Matiaha, 52, was acquitted of three charges by a jury in Wellington District Court on February 4.
The jury of 12 unanimously found Matiaha not guilty of sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection and not guilty of two charges of sexual conduct with a young person under 16.
Matiaha, a former Makoura College employee and NZ Army veteran, denied the charges when he appeared in Masterton District Court in January last year, pleading not guilty in front of Judge Barbara Morris.
He was the director of the Makoura College Services Academy but no longer works there.
