Masterton in zone play-offs

Masterton will represent Bowls Wairarapa in both the men's and women's eastern zone play-offs of the national inter-club competition at Napier this weekend.
The men's event will see Ian Monaghan play the singles with Brian Johnson and Warren Fisher in the pairs and John Claydon, Graham Tindall, Neil Gibling and Karl Taucher in the fours.
Judith Wyeth is the singles player in the women's team with Shirley Hewson and Anne McDonald in the pairs and Wynne Dellabarca, Joy Gibbs, Judith Stringer and Jean Hannam in the fours.
They will be opposed at the zone play-offs by the champion club sides from Gisborne-East Coast, Manawatu and Hawkes Bay.
Gisborne-East Coast club Te Karaka will obviously be the team to beat in the men's section as heading their side are two players with international experience, Shannon Mcillroy and David File.
