Tony Price and Andrea Williams are doing Wairarapa proud at the Oceania Masters track and field championships being held in Tauranga this week.
Competing in the men's 55 years grade Price has already won gold medals in the 5km run (17m 46s) and the 8km cross-country (32m 15s) and a bronze medal in the 800m (2m 30s). He was also part of the winning New Zealand line-up in the cross-country event.
Williams, contesting the women's 40 years grade, was third in the 8km cross-country (38m 47s), an event in which she was also a member of the successful New Zealand team. She came close to a medal over 800m too, being pipped for third right on the line.
Price, who is battling soreness in the calf, still has the 1500m and half-marathon to go while Williams has the 400m and 3000m steeplechase events to come on her programme.
