Celebrating individuals at the top of their field is always a delight. In the culinary field though, it's even more rewarding than usual, as celebrating success means tucking into something delicious. This Restaurant Month, we're lucky enough to be celebrating a number of collaborations between chefs who are truly at the top of their game.
Mark Best and Des Harris
The finest of dining will be the order of the evening at a Taste of Marque at Clooney - with the two restaurants and their respective chefs Mark Best and Des Harris sharing the highest levels of acclaim. Marque has again been named in Elite Traveler's Top 100 Restaurants in the World list (one of only five Australian restaurants to feature), and locally, Clooney has been awarded five spoons once more in the Metro Peugeot Restaurant of the Year awards.
Both chefs employ classical French techniques with Asian influences and modern tweaks to best showcase high quality produce, taking them to the furthest heights of flavour. The menu on the night features Best's famous tomato marshmallow amuse-bouche, with other dishes including the luxurious and novel lobster with grilled lettuce and lemon curd.
