More than 20 firefighters from across Waikato were today called to a large blaze which produced a plume visible over Hamilton.
Northern Fire Communications shift manager Colin Underdown said crews were called to the rural property in Newell Rd, Tamahere, just before midday, where a four-bay shed had caught fire.
Inside was at least one vehicle, lawnmowing equipment and other tools, and haybales.
The size of the fire required six appliances from three Hamilton fire stations, along with tankers from Cambridge and Te Awamutu.
